Healthy Snacks

By Tina Zimmerman

Students are encouraged to bring a 'healthy snack' to school.  Students are able to enjoy their snack throughout the day; as long as, the snack does not interfere with the learning process. The snacks should be finger food.  Snacks are not permitted in the Science Lab.

Here are some suggestions:  Pretzels,  crackers,  dry cereal, granola bars, fruit snacks, fruit,  and popcorn.

Chocolate, cookies, chips, and candy are not considered 'healthy snacks' in my classroom.

Students are encouraged to have  water bottles. The bottles must be clear and  water is the only liquid permitted in school.
